When we return to the office Monday, WPT staff will make final edits to the September program guide, which features Ken Burns’ new film on Theodore, Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt – three members of one of the most prominent families in American politics.

In Burns’ words, “There is no other family that’s had more influence on other Americans than this family.” The Roosevelts: An Intimate History airs in seven parts beginning Sunday, Sept. 14.

We’re telling you now, though, because we don’t want you to miss another of Ken Burns’ films that’s streaming online now. For a few more days, you can watch Burns’ in-depth biography of Mark Twain, one of the greatest writers in American history.

Mark Twain tells the complete history of “the funniest man on earth” beginning with his birth in Florida, Missouri and time spent on the Mississippi. The film is an illuminating portrait of the natural born storyteller and provides real-life context to Twain’s creative works including “Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.”

Watch Mark Twain from Ken Burns for a limited time. And below, enjoy a preview of The Roosevelts: An Intimate History, coming to Wisconsin Public Television Sunday, Sept. 14.
